Overview

The 2010 Ford Mustang is available as a two-door four-passenger family coupe, sports coupe, convertible, and sports convertible in 8 different trims, ranging from the V6 Coupe to the GT Premium Convertible. Also available is the high-performance 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The Ford Mustang, America's favorite muscle car, offers a host of new features for 2010, including the industry-exclusive SYNC system for the first time, Next-Generation navigation with SIRIUS Travel Link, and a reverse camera system.

Power and performance

The 2010 Ford Mustang offers a choice of a 4.0L V6 (210 hp/240 lb.-ft. of torque) and 4.6L V8 (315 hp/325 lb.-ft. of torque) engines combined with five-speed transmissions to deliver power to the rear wheels. Both manual and automatic transmission options are provided. The 2010 EPA-estimated fuel economy details are as follows: 18 mpg city/26 mpg highway (4.0L V6 with manual transmission), 16 mpg city/24 mpg highway (4.0L V6 with automatic transmission), 16 mpg city/24 mpg highway (4.6L V8 with manual transmission), 17 mpg city/23 mpg highway (4.6L V8 with automatic transmission), and 14 mpg city /22 mpg highway (Shelby GT500's 5.4L V8 with manual transmission).

On the inside, 4-gauge instrument cluster with chrome accents, 4-way manual height-adjustable driver seat, 50/50 split-folding rear seat (coupe only), air conditioning, premium AM/FM stereo/single-CD audio system, auxiliary audio input jack, carpeted front floor mats in Charcoal Black, cruise control, cupholders (2), full center floor console with armrest and locking storage, Ice Blue lighting, interior trunk release, power door locks and windows with one touch-up/-down feature, and tilt steering wheel are standard. Ford SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system, 6-gauge cluster with MyColor illumination, 6-way power driver seat with power lumbar, Shaker 500 Audio System with AM/FM stereo, 6-disc in-dash CD changer, 8 speakers, MP3 capability, and SIRIUS Satellite Radio are premium features.
